Oak Panelled room though probably the hinged type were already in general use. As is so often the case where an example of early Tudor craftsmanship is discovered in a reasonable condition, it has been covered for centuries by a wall paneled -this little window, with some of its original glass was `discovered' in such a manner in a small home in Essex during reconstruction.
Linenfold panelling  used in Tudor Interiors on Oak Panelling, wall paneling & wainscot paneling Linen Fold which took its name and origin from folded material (possibly the folded napkin on the chalice),-soon lost its original form in the process of being copied. This can be clearly seen in the illustration of wall paneling panels where the same curves and shapes appear in the space beneath the carving but the `linen' does not fold except in the gouged-out grooves.
