Plaster Ceiling The penduled barrel-vaulted ceiling from an oak paneled upper room at the little farm house of Ham Barton near Newton Abbott is neither so simple as that at Southcott Barton nor yet so complicated as that of the `Feathers' at Ludlow. The room is not large-possibly 15 by 24 feet in length-but nevertheless the plasterers have found the space to carry out their art with all its complicated details. There is even the display of the arms of James I on the end wall.
